Materials of Construction


Products are fabricated using various types of steel as follows:
Carbon Steels to American or British Standards, 3CR12, a locally developed super ferrictic stainless steel

Austenitics stainless steels (300 series), Duplex Steels, Exotics including Hastalloy, Titanium etc.

Inspection Authority


Mandatory third party inspection authorities are used when required. Included in these authorities are international companies such as Lloyd's Register and Socie'te' ge'ne'rale' de Surveillance.

Manufacturing


The following equipment is used in the process of manufacture:

Machinery

  • Plasma Arc Cutting Machine - Portable 20-mm maximum
  • Line welder - maximum width, 3.0 meters x 4.5-mm
  • Pressbrake (promecam) - 120 ton x 4.0-m
  • Powered rolls - 200-m dia
  • Double nip rolls maximum 25-mm thick x 3.0 meters & 150-mm diameter
  • Pyramid rolls maximum 25-mm thick x 2.5 meters
  • Powered angle rolls - 100 x 100 x 12 angle
  • Full compliment of welding machines, to suit all welding procedures, maximum 650 Amp CC/CV
  • Cropping machine - max 20-mm
  • Plate knuckling machine - radius on tank ends max capacity 4,5-mm 2
  • Radial arm drilling machines - max capacity 35-mm diameter holes
  • Tube bending machine - rolling tube coil max 3" NB
  • Hydraulic jacks - 2 x 50 ton, coupled to power pack & electronically controlled

Lifting Capacity


Shop : 10 Ton by means of 3 electric hoists on travelling gantries (2 x 5 ton & 1 x 3 ton)
Site : Mobile cranes subcontracted as required

Turning Capacity


5 x Electronic manipulators with carrying capacity to 20 tons
